Paypal gremlins have created this new error for me but I see it has been reported before.

The country you're trying to send money to can't receive this payment.

The recipient and sender(me) are both in US and I made purchase just 2 weeks ago with no issues from same seller.

Paypal customer support is clueless. What options do I have? Easiest is to skip paypal.

Are you using a VPN?

No- I do not. Same laptop and nothing has changed. I googled this error and see many have reported this.Only workaround seems to be to get recipient to initiate payment request.

But this issue drove me bonkers! I asked recipient to contact Paypal and follow up as well but going by what others have reported seems to be Paypal infrastructure issue.

Paypal confirmed this is a reported issue from others as well and is working to fix it.
