We are using Paypal to accept donations on our site. Many people seem quite confused about whether or not they can use a credit card to donate. There are two sections that come up on the 'choose a method of payment' page. The top one wants your Paypal login info. The bottom one asks for info to charge you with your credit card. Two questions:
Is it possible to set as a default the option to always have the credit card field open?
Is it possible to insert credit card logos into the section asking for info to use with your credit card? What it says is 'Pay as a guest now, sign up for Paypal later', which I think implies to many people that are going to need a Paypal account. If the credit card logos were there, it would make it much more obvious / reassuring. As it stands, the credt card option isn't even mentioned on this page. It just seems like someone asking you for lots of personal info.
Don't get me wrong, I think Paypal is great and I know it's in your interest to get everyone to sign up. I just know from personal experience that when people are donating, they're a little bit more wary and people who wouldn't think twice about clicking a Paypal link to buy some shoes get a little skittish and want to see the credit card option.
Thanks for any help / advice.

Yes, credit cards can be used.
No, it's not possible to change the layout of the PayPal Screens or include additional graphics other than a business logo or header (logos apply only to Business Accounts).
You would need to explain to your donors the PayPal Options before they see the PayPal Screens. This could be on your button page or part of your web site policies.
Below is a verbiage example:
Payment Processing by PayPal
A PayPal account is not required. To help insure your privacy, when your order is placed online, only PayPal will have your credit card information. No online credit card information will ever be shared with us or sent to us by PayPal.
Assuming you have either a Premier Account or Business Account and you have the credit card option turned on (it's a setting in your Account Profile). Per your post, it sounds like that is all OK.
If you wanted to totally customize the process, then you need to upgrade to Pro ($30 per month). Pro allows you total control of what a customer sees as all the coding is done on your website first, then PayPal processes the credit card transaction behing the scenes. The customer does not leave your web site.
