scan check app gets stuck on "remember to sign the back of your check"

Using the mobile app on my Android Motorola Razr MAXX HD, I scan the front of check just fine but the app then goes back to the camera and says  "remember to sign the back of your check".  I can't take a picture from here ... it's just stuck.
