Blank Screen on payment

Hi

  I've used IPN for years now without any issues at all, however I get up this morning to discover that nobody can make a payment anymore, once they click the buy button they are taken to the following link, which just shows as a blank page:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr

Like I said everything was fine up until after midnight last night, there have been no changes to the code in a long time either..

Any ideas??

Paypal has been working on the site for almost 10 years. We're using OScommerce and Paypal Standard to process payments.

I'm getting the same error on my site too. Did you figure out the problem?

nope still trying to find out whats going on, I know of at least 3 others that this has happened to as well, so they've changed something down the line.

We are not getting a blank screen by a white "Internal Server Error" page. Same thing been working for years and not this page randomly comes up. PayPal is unwilling to help.

We are also experiencing the same issue and has only recently been brought to our attention. By the looks of things this could have been a problem since April and considering we solely use PayPal for traditional card payments and PayPal payments this is a major issue for us. I have been able to investigate our end to the extent of: On one iPhone 7 white screen happens on safari but will work on google chrome. On a second iPhone 7 works of safari but not on google chrome. I have also been informed by customers that it effects their desktops/laptops and again differes dependant on what internet service you use ie: chrome/safari/Firefox. Hopefully someone by now has managed to find a route cause of the issue. Additionally, this could be unrelated but it has been brought to our attention that if you use the standard service known as “Web payments standard” so that you’re enabled to take card payments as well as PayPal account to account payments, there is a £1,500 limit given to every person in the world to use “guest checkout” this basically means any payment made other than by PayPal’s account to account method is classed a guest checkout (ie: by card). This is tracked and applied to all websites across the world for the lifetime of the person meaning that: once a person has reached the £1,500 limit, they will be force to pay via paypal account to PayPal account or create an account with PayPal. No alternative method is offered and is not shown. I was informed if we upgraded to the £20 a month account this would be bypassed and customers can pay via any method. Whether or not this is connected is yet to be determined but would be interesting to hear if others who are experiencing this issue pay for the pro account or are the same as us.
