Hello, yesterday I received the following email:
XXXX
We’re writing to notify you that we have received a Federal Court order requiring us to disclose information to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) about PayPal Business account holders who sent or received a payment between January 1, 2014, and November 10, 2017. To comply with the order, PayPal Canada will make a disclosure to the CRA within 45 days of the date of the order. If you have any questions about this email, please refer to our list of Frequently Asked Questions or contact us through our Help Centre.
-------------------
My question is the following. Until August of this year, I was using a personal account, not business. I had a lot of ebay and other seller transactions on this account. Will the information handed to the CRA by Paypal include all the transactions that were made BEFORE I switched to a business account? Or only those transactions that were made SINCE the switch?
I'm a little bit worried, because I have a feeling the CRA will assume all those prior transactions were income, even though they weren't. I have tried calling paypal and they were completely unhelpful, had no idea what I was referring to.
Thank you

when you sell and collect payment, whether it is personal or business, there will be profit or loss involved,Paypal business vs personal is just superficial, both accounts can be used to collect payment from selling.
it is up to you to prove you make zero proift.
