Downloading PDFs of invoices: all text shows as a black box. Any work arounds?

Although this error had been popping up for weeksm the "Download PDF" function for invoices is now completely broken.   Instead of providing a legible PDF Paypal is now providing PDFs that feature all text represented as black boxes.   

It's worse than useless as it makes my business look very unprofessional to my customers as they get a Black Box PDF on their download links too.

I have tried to get around this problem by using different computers and different browsers but the problem is present everywhere. 

The inability to download a clean PDF of an invoice is now heavily slowing down my invoicing process.   I have called Paypal customer support and was told that this is a "known issue" and it was being "worked on."  

Obviously I can make a PDF of the invoice screen using my computer, but this shows the customer my view and isn't the normal format they're used to.   Also, this takes additional time which is a concern given the amount of invoices my company issues per day. 

Has anyone found a work around to this problem (besides making a PDF of the home screen)?

Same issue.  I can get it to load properly sometimes.  I agree, very frustrating!

The print option seems to work fine.  In which case you can just print to a virtual PDF printer.  Windows 10 has one built in.  

I think that's your best work around. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply.  I have been using the Print to PDF function as a workaround but I've got a lot of invoices to get through and it does slow me down.  

Honestly I was hoping someone from Paypal would see this thread and figure out how to fix their software.   Given that a call and an email to customer support have gone nowhere I I shouldnt be surprised by a lack of this forum post generating a proper fix.

I disagree becasue when I choose the "Print" option, the invoice is wider than a regular letter size paper.  That's the whole reason why I had to start choosing the PDF option a while back as the PDFs (before this new lack box issue) used to display and print properly.  Now the PDF option doesn't work also AND if I just click on "Print" to have a hard cop for my records/files, all of the text on the right side of the page is truncated/cut-off.  Frustrating.

I can't do either.  It even saves with the black boxes.  No feed back from PayPal?
