How can I process a credit card payment made to me? I usually use a different company, Propay, but thought I would look into using Paypal instead. However, I cannot seem to find where to access that feature if it exists. I assume it does. Thank you for any assistance

There's several ways, depends on how you plan to accept payments - online via a web site, in person, etc.

For example, if you plan to accept in person, then you could use PayPal Here (it's an app that works with your phone) and you would need a Business Account also.

If you have a web site, then either a Personal Account or Business Account would work.  You can generate a Buy Now or Add to Cart item button from within your account, then copy and paste the code to your web page.   The customer clicks on the item button to make the purchase and is then redirected to the PayPal Checkout Screens - there they can pay with a credit card (no account required) or use their PayPal Account.

That's the short story !!!

PayPal does not have this feature.  PayPal is for buyers to pay through PayPal with a PayPal account or their own credit card; it happens at the other end of the transaction.  You just receive the funds.

If you want to accept credit cards directly then you need to apply for PayPal Here.  You would then have a credit card swiper or chip card reader so you could accept credit cards.  You could also enter card numbers manually at a much higher risk level and higher cost.  That would give you a lot of the functionality of ProPay.

You could also apply for a direct merchant account with a company such as FirstData.  You cold enter numbers manually or by swipes/chip using the Clover Go smartphone app.
