Insufficient funds

I recently changed my preferred payment online from my bank account to my credit card. I recently purchased an item online using Paypal but I received an insufficient funds email because Paypal was still using my bank account.

Does Paypal prefer to withdraw money from your bank account instead of using your credit card?

No I've never used that. I didn't know it was an option.

CEHCK TO MAKE SURE CC IS YOUR PREFERRED PAYMENT,WHEN THE ORDER SCREEN COMES UP ,MAKE SURE IT IS THE CARD YOU WANT TO USE.

Welcome to the Community.  I would like to take this opportunity to explain how transactions are funded. 
 
When you make a payment, money in your PayPal account balance is always used first. If you elect not to hold money in your PayPal account balance, your Default Payment Method, decided in the order listed below, is automatically used to pay for the transaction. 

 
1.  Instant Transfer from your Bank Account
2.  PayPal Credit
3.  Debit Card
4.  Credit Card
5.  eCheck

 
Please be aware, after you change your funding source, if you make any additional adjustments to the current transaction (i.e. change the shipping address, utilize the "Back" button, etc.) the funding source will revert to the Default Payment Method, even if you changed it using the above instructions. To ensure your payment is processed as you intend, please thoroughly review the "Review Your Payment" page before completing any transactions.

Hello I recently purcahsed an item online and it only costed $110.00.  I had $141.00 in my account. I am signed up with the Canadian Red Cross and I donate 30 dollars usually every month. This month they took 30 dollars out of my bank account. I was left with insufficient funds after. Does my item still get shipped out to me?
