Seller required to pay shipping insurance?

I have a buyer who insists that because she purchased with us and paid through PayPal, she does not have to buy insurance for her package because we as the seller are responsible for insuring that her package safely arrives unbroken. I cannot find this in any terms and conditions on PayPal. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

She is WRONG - if a seller wants to offer that option - it's an option for the Buyer to choose - you as a seller are only responsible to ship the item - things like insurance, receiver signature, etc., are optional - you can offer these options to the buyer as an additonal charge or you can bundle everything in your shipping charges.  (This is where a clear shipping policy is helpful and should be explained on your web site or however you deal with your customers.)

Note, there is no reference in the PayPal User Agreement that emplies or states that insurance is a mandatory requirement.

insurance protects the seller, not the buyer.

Seller is responsible to deliver the goods as stated,if it is damaged in transit, stolen or missing, buyer should either get his money back or get a replacement.

Both Ebay and PAYPAL protects the buyer for item not as descrived and item not received.

If seller does not insure the item, she eats the loss, she has no one to blame but herself.

This is not a paypal or Ebay agreement,it is commerce 101.buyer pays for goods and service,he should get what he pays for.

Once again, insurance protects the seller, not the buyer, buyer needs no such protection
