Sending money with zero paypal balance

I do not have any money in my paypal balance but i have money in the bank account linked with my paypal business account. I want to send money to a friend so i need to know : 1. is it possible to send money with zero paypal balance. 2. if i send the money with a zero paypal balance,how long will it take before my friend receives the money in her paypal account. NOTE: i have money in th bank account linked with my business paypal account

1. Yes, you can send the payment using your bank account as the payment funding source.

2. If your PayPal account has a linked credit card or debit card, your bank account funded payment will be an Instant Transfer payment which means it will be instantly received into the recipient's PayPal account.

If your PayPal account does not have a linked credit card or debit card, your bank account funded payment will be an eCheck payment which means it will take 3-5 business days to be received into the recipient's PayPal account.

Thanks for the reply. But i am a little confused on the echeck issue. Is it that: 1. My recipient will get an echeck or 2. The money i transferred to my recipient will get credited directly into the recipients paypal account within 3-5 business days and be ready for use immediately?

the answers to both is YES,but then you never know,if she can use it immediately,in some countries (Eurozone) anyone who has exceeded $2500 receipt wouldbe asked to present personal documents before they can use the money .

if she has a negative balance,the payment you sent her would be first used to fill that negative balance,

so we cannot just say she can use it immediately,there are other factors which come into play.

if her account is restricted,restriction can be one way or both way,meaning no money in and no money out.

echeck is like a check but electronic ,not paper.

if you want her to get it faster,link a credit card.

if you want to make it instant,use western union or money gram
