I shipped a textbook to a friend a few weeks ago that is now lost in the mail. I printed the shipping label through PayPal and also opted to pay an additional fee for insurance. Now that the package is lost I want to file a USPS claim for the insurance. When I go to USPS's website on how to file a claim they want proof of insurance. When I check my PayPal history it doesn't describe the actual label created, only the cost and that it was submitted to USPS. When I check the USPS tracking on their website it says "In transit - media mail, insured". I have a receipt from dropping off the package at my post office but the receipt only says the weight and that it was prepaid. Any help / ideas on how to show proof of insurance? Thank you!
