Wrong routing number, help!

I just linked a bank account to paypal and transferred money to the bank account, and now paypal showed that the transfer is completed. However, I just realized that I made typo to the account number, which means the account number does not match the routing number.

How can I have the money back? I filed explanation to paypal but got no responses. Help?

A transaction shows Completed means that PayPal processed your request.  You have to wait until the bank send a response back to PayPal that account number is invalid and the funds will bounce back.

What I don't get is how this could even happen when users have to confirm that the bank account numbers works first when we link our banks before we start withdrawing. Unless this is in the process of linking a bank to PayPal.  Are you in the Philippines or Malaysia?  This seems to happen there a bit based on the cases I've seen.

I'm in the states. Indeed, I'm also surprised that I can transfer money from paypal to the back account without confirmation, and it just happened.

When you added a bank, did you received an email with instructions for you to confirm your bank with test deposits? PayPal is becoming more bizarre by the day.  Sometimes security is real tight, short of asking for DNA or fingerprint and then you get this...smh.

Phone PayPal support so they can look at your account details and stop or fix the link.
