I got a message from someone with their name just being random letter, they said that their mother was interested in buying and that she can add 60$ more to it and I just need to shoot her an email...I did send an email but this whole thing is rlly fishy and idk... is it some sort of scam??

you sent her an email, now he has your email address.

soon you will get an email saying you got cash,it is $60 more than you asked for ,BUT you must click on this link to prepay freight charge, then the money would be released to you.

do they have your name already?

No nobody wants to pay more like that.  Add $60 to it, yeah right! Smiley Very Happy And I'mma monkey's uncle. Do not write back.  It's a scam.  Real buyers pay the asking price + your advertised shipping costs.  Does Depop have Buy now buttons to add to cart and checkout?

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Then they should click buy and pay at checkout like a normal person would.  When real buyers negotiate, they'd want to pay less, not throw in extra money.  That's crazy!   Scammers do it so they can bilk you out of more money.  Be smart.  Internet smart. Smiley Wink

I hope it isn't too late, but these private messages are always scams. It's best you complete all transactions via Depop and never through email or text. These accounts often have no content on their pages (e.g profile picture, previous sales/purchases, etc) which you can deem a "red flag".
