Instant Bank Transfer from Canada?

Let me start off by saying my only available method of payment on my account is my bank account.

I'm making a fairly expensive purchase from somebody in the US via instant bank transfer. I sent it out a few hours ago and my Recent Transactions updated almost immediately telling me the payment had been completed with 3 related transactions (me to paypal, paypal to me for currency conversion, then from my account to the seller, putting my balance back at $0).

Now prior to sending this I was under the impression I'd have to first transfer money to my account, which is a 6-8 business day transaction for us Canucks, but I saw the option of instant transfer and took it.

After sending it, I read that it supposedly only works instantly for US bank accounts, but mine worked instantly and says completed? I haven't heard back from the seller yet to get confirmation, so I'm wondering if it's gonna take a few days before he gets it despite my transaction saying it's complete?

Normally instant transfer requires both a bank account and credit card, this is valid for both US and UK accounts, can't say for sure about CA accounts as there are account differences between countries..  Suggest contacting customer support for assistance as they can view account details and perhaps provide you with better info.
