Pending eCheck - caused an overdraft, but now I have enough balance.

So... I bought the game via paypal on 23rd, and the payment option was an eCheck.

(I had Paypal funds transferred from verified bank account previously, but the product was in US dollars instead of Canadian dollars. Currency exchange and turned out I lacked around 90 cents. Huge mistake there... so paypal probably gave me an eCheck option instead, back then, but the reason I ended up to this situation is because I just pressed next next next after I logged in on the ordering page. another mistake...lol)

This caused my verified bank account to have negative balance.

On the paypal's history page, this transaction is marked as 'Pending Until April 2'.

But now I have enough funds in my bank account. I deposited 1,500 CAD today  (minus balance were paid automatically.)

My question is, is this transaction going to be canceled?

I'm curious because it says pending until April 2nd. So does this mean if I have enough money in my bank account until April 2nd, would paypal still approve my money that bank paid first and I paid for it 4 days(....) later?

I still do want to buy this product.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the Community!

The final status of the eCheck will depend on how your bank initially reacted to the withdrawal attempt.

If they paid it, but then asked you to pay them back by taking your bank account negative, your eCheck should clear without an issue.

If your bank didn't pay the eCheck at all, then the eCheck should switch over to cancelled at some point and you may need to make the purchase again.

In either event, I wouldn't recommend restarting the purchase until you know for sure - double billing is never fun!

Hope this helps,

Adrian
