Yes you can use prepaid gift cards in Canada. I have used them in many places and refused only once. A Visa gift card does not work if you want to go to PokerStars.com, but a Mastercard gift card works. Go figure!

Yes it is possible. No name or address is present or ever asked. Carrying a gift card is the same as carrying cash. If it is lost or stolen, it's your tough luck. Oh and when you buy a gift card, there are fees, $3.00 to $6.00. I use them on line mostly.
