I have a client who I'd like to pay me thru my PayPal account.
He has a Canadian PayPal account , I have a US PayPal account. Is there a fee if he sends me money from his PayPal account?
This is what I found at this link... https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees
Funded by your PayPal balance or a bank account linked to your PayPal account... Fee is waived.
Funded by a credit card, debit card or PayPal Credit... 2.9% of the amount funded this way, plus a fixed fee (from the table below) based on the currency of the transaction.
I read this as if he first puts the money in his PayPal account and after it clears, he could transfer the money to me without a fee.
Am I reading that right?
Thanks!
Jay

Wrong that is for family / friend gift payments only. If you are selling then its against paypal rules to sell and accept funds that way and could lead to your account being limited. It would also mean you had zero paypal seller protection.
If you are selling then you always pay a fee, you will pay the normal Canadian fee + a cross border fee, your buyer will pay the currency conversion fee IF they send in your currency.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
