Paypal account verification questions? HELP PLEASE!

Okay so I am brand new to paypal and I already connected my credit card to my paypal account. My friend said that there would be a code that paypal would send me when I receive my statement for my credit card to verify my credit card on the paypal site.

My question is how come i dont see any option to where I can put the code of my paypal card? I dont have the code yet, but I was looking around where I could put it... I have no option on how to put it and the only option i have to verify my account is to link my bank account to my paypal account. But my friend said when he confirmed his paypal credit card with the code his account was automatically verified...

How come I dont see any option where i can put the code to confirm my vredit card in paypal? And why is it that linking my bank account the only way to verify my account to paypal?

I am currently living in canada, so apparntly all my information is for my canadian credit card.

I hope you guys could help me out here, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

From the FAQs:

You can find your 4-digit PayPal code on your debit or credit card statement next to or near the charge amount.

Your code will look like this in the item description section of your statement:

PayPal*1234 CODE or PP*1234 CODE

Please allow 2 to 3 business days for the PayPal code to appear on your online card statement. If you do not have online access to your statement, you'll need to wait for your statement in the mail.

To enter your PayPal code, log in to your PayPal account and click Profile near the top of the page. Click My money under My Profile and then click Update in the Debit and credit cards section.
