Trouble Adding Bank Account

I'm trying to add my bank account to my Paypal and I've received an error saying:

The bank information you have added is invalid or missing. Please try again.

• You have entered either an invalid Institution Number or Branch Transit number. Please make sure the Institution number contains no dashes or spaces and is 3 digits, and your Branch Transit number is 5 digits.

But the information entered is CORRECT (both institution number and branch transit number) - I'm a little stumped about what to do or how to fix this?? I'm in Canada with TD Canada Trust by the way

I am having the EXACT same problem:  PayPal will not accept my TD Bank transit number and institution number.  Has ANYONE out there had this issue resolved??!?!?

is your name on paypal exactly the same as it appears on your bank statment and not a shortened version (like matt for matthew) because that is considered invalid I think

I have been having the same problem, whereby I need to add a new bank account with my new business name for my bank account. I just get a message that says "You cannot add a bank at this time".

I cant add my account either. I was on the phone with Pay Pal costing me long distance charges from Canada on my cell phone as they 'Walked me through it' I WAS doing everything righ - their 'walk through' didn't help.

I want to get my funds out of my pay pal...

Should I open another Pay Pal account under my husbands name and use his bank account and send my money that way? I would like a solution to this asap.

i want to remove my only bank account on here and add another 1. will i loose the money that is in my paypal account now?

I had the same problem; number of caracters were correct, bank name correct.. and I still had this error message.

Then I tried the following:
Instead of just copy pasting the account number i typed it and it worked!

So just type the account number manually, hopefully this will help.
