Buying things online without having to verify a credit card / bank account?

So the title says it all. I want to buy a game online ($60) and am thinking of adding the funds through PayPal's Green Dot card program. Will I be able to make this purchase if my Paypal account has enough funds without having a credit card verified to my account, or even a bank account?

If it's needed, the seller is a game company called Battle.net by Blizzard

I have done this kind of thing before with a similar game developer called VavlE (Steam community application), but only made payments of $25 incriments.

Edit: I don't want to put the money on PayPal before knowing my answer, as I don't want to use $60 on other things (I am a bit tight on money). I tried purchasing the game without having any funds, and come up with an alert bar at the top of the page saying "You may not use your existing credit cards to fund this payment. Please use a different type of card".

I had selected paypal, logged in, went through, and got it. Just a message that appears with an invalid amount of funds, or the lack of verification?

Edit 2: I don't know if it's relevant or not, but I've never been verified on this account, so previous information is non-existant.

Pre-ordering Diablo III? Smiley Happy

I went through the same check out process myself the other day Smiley Happy The merchant in question uses a method for payments that will require a credit or debit card on the PayPal account in order to sign up for their billing agreement.

That doesn't mean you can't use a MoneyPak and add funds into the balance ahead of time, but to place the order and be billed, you'll have to add (and maintain) a credit or debit card on the account.

You can always cancel the billing agreement after you've paid in full for the game and remove the card, though.  To do this, just go to your My Preapproved Payments section in your Profile.

Enjoy the game!
