Crowdfunding payments

I recently made a payment to a Crowdfunding page and then received an e-mail telling me I had signed up for pre-approved payments plan to Crowdfunder Ltd with PayPal.

I have no idea what this means and despite advising in the same e-mail that I can find details on my Account page, I cannot find anything about it at all.

Can anyone help as it appears to be something that continues paying the same amount to the same cause on a regular basis. For instance a further payment was made to the same cause yesterday, without my knowledge or permission.

I tried contacting PayPal but had no success and I am now waiting for a response to an e-mnail query.

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > and under "manage upcoming payments" top left of page second option down is pre-approved payments.

I followed your very clear instructions (Thank you!) only to find that the payment I want to stop isn't actually listed!

So why has the money been taken and paid to my friends?

I really don't want to continue to make a regular payment to the Crowdfunding page for this friend but there doesn't seem to be any way of stopping it 😞

Feeling confused and concerned now....

Hi,

Most likely, at first you did not atually make a payment, only a pledge (preapproved payment) to pay at the close date of the crwodfunding campaign.  So, that was not a payment.  Then, when the campaign successfully closed, the pledge turned into a payment.
