Etsy payment isn't showing up in transaction history?

I bought an item from an Etsy seller on August 26th and paid through Paypal. I haven't heard a single thing from the seller ever since, despite messaging them on the 5th, as well as yesterday. The item is still showing as not shipped, even though the estimated shipping date listed on my receipt is September 2nd. 

I want to go ahead and file for a refund, but the payment isn't showing up in my Paypal transaction list. It shows on Etsy as paid through PayPal, I received an email from Paypal when I paid, AND it shows up on my bank statement. But not my Paypal transaction list, which is where the button to request a refund is. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm expecting I'll have to call or email Paypal support, but I wanted to see if anyone else had a solution in the meantime. 

Unfortunately, I deleted the email confirmation from Paypal because the item was a birthday present for my partner and I didn't want him seeing it. Hopefully that doesn't end up being a problem. -facepalm-

My friend is currently experiencing the same problem.   I was wondering if you were able to get your problem solved and if so, how?  I have the email receipt and number confirming my purchase, but nothing is showing up on the paypal transaction tab.

I was informed that no refund could be given without a transaction appearing in the history tab.  Thanks for any info you can provide and I hope you were able to get your issue solved.
