Help! transferred money to closed bank account

Hi,

I searched the forums but didnt find what will be outcome of this error. actually I closed one of my bank account recently but forgot to update it on Paypal and unfortunately my last balance from PayPal was withdrawn to that account yesterday. its still showing pending so the amount has not been withdrawn yet. is there any way of withdrawing that money to my other bank account listed? please help

If the transfer fails then normally what happens is that it bounces back to your paypal balance but you get charged a small fee for the failed transfer.

thanks for the reply. Since it was my fault not updating my new bank account as the main account, i dont have problem accepting the extra charge for failed transaction. I was just wondering if the transaction can be stopped or direct to my other account since its still pending. anyway it will be fine if the bank redirect the amount back to paypal and i receive it back in my other account

As i don't work for paypal i am not totally sure, but as far as i am aware once you have clicked submit on the transfer it cant' be stopped.

I have similar problem, just now.

My bank closed my account without informed me, nfor crazy reaso

The bank informed me they returned the money to PayPal last February 3 Wednesday.

But it's almost 1 week and I have no information of my money in my Paypal accunt. 

What is the maximum time of waiting for this money being back to my balance in PayPal?

Cause now I don't trust anymore in this bank, and I would like to Know the usual waiting time before make case.

Sorry to hear about the trouble with your bank account. 😞 Depending on your location, it can vary as to how long it will take for the funds to be returned to your PayPal account. Within the US it is typically 3-5 business days for the funds to reach the bank, and another 3-5 business days to be returned to PayPal.
 

Outside of the US these time frames are usually longer, up to 7-10 business days in each direction. Business days would not include any weekends or holidays.
