Hello this is Ashley. I recently made a PayPal on sunday because a friend recommended it. So I bought a product from Urban Outfitters using the paypal check out option. At first I thought it was the store itself that was taking ages to ship because I never got an email saying the item shipped, All i got was a confirmation email.. Until i checked my paypal account and saw "Payment Authorization Pending" is something wrong? It's been like this for a week.. I asked my friend and she said hers doesn't usually take this long. What's going on? How long will it take.. I just don't want to wait a month and then get an email saying it was canceled. It already took the money out of the account so I don't see why it would still be pending? Yes I already had funds in the account, $30. I received an email from the store and everything confirming the order and saying theyre getting everything ready for shipping. But the summary still says "Pending" on my page, Will it be completed the day that the product arrives here or does this mean that somethings wrong? The moneys already out of my account and it paid the store. Is it normal to take this long or? thank you.
When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is always pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
