It's ridiculous. I made  a full payment 5 days ago for my PayPal credit but the available credit balance has not gone back to full credit that I supposed to have after payment. I need to make another purchase using paypal credit. The fund already withdraw from my bank account but paypal still keep my money and does not let me use it?????. It's ridiculous and makes no sense. Why would Paypal process so long even the fund already out from my bank account. Is that the way you make profit from customers'  money???? After done with that problem, I'm definetaly not gonna using PayPal Credit anymore.

I have been making large payments to avoid paying interest via my checking account. The payment clears thru my bank in one day, but remains in pending status in PayPal for many days 5+ in PayPal. When it does come out of pending status in PayPal, my available credit status does not get updated to reflect the payment. Numerous calls to PayPal just gets you a canned response that it "it can take up to 8 days, the check first has to clear PayPal and then it has to clear PayPal credit". How can PayPal take the my payment out of pending status five days later, and not update the available credit balance at the same time? Is this even legal? It sure feels like the people that pay off their debt in order to avoid paying interest, are being penalized! Is there something fundamentally wrong with the setup of my account, or are others like me having the same problem? Would love to hear from you. And if you have figured out what the work around to this is, please tell me. I'm hoping that it's some dum setting in my account that I don't have set properly. With all of my calls and various levels of authority that I have spoken to, you would think that one of these employees would have figured that out. So I'm reaching out to all of you for answers. Thanks

I'm having the same problem right now with my PayPal Credit limit not updating to where it should be. This is also causing damage to my eBay account, as I'm waiting to pay for purchases, but am now unable to. I'm also getting the same answer from PayPal, but even the phone representatives don't seem too convinced as to what the "holds" are for. I've been with PayPal for nearly fifteen years, and something is starting to smell fishy. If my limit doesn't update in the next couple of days, I will call PayPal back and move all the way up the chain. Somebody will either have an answer...or I will have to take my business elsewhere.

Hello, expect a max of 8 days.  Been there, done that, they will all tell you 8 days.

I used to make my payments directly thru paypal.  After getting so frustrated with the 8 day wait, I switched to paying directly from my checking account electronically.  The thought here was to see if this would speed things up. And, I also feel more comfortable making the payment electronically from my checking account.

In order to do that, you will need to get the account number from PayPal.  This number is not shown on your statements or when you log into PayPal.

Once I did that, the first two payments took the 8 days and since then it has been much less.

But their policy is 8 days, so you just have to plan for that unfortunately.

I wish that PayPal Credit really helped my credit score, but it does not.

Other than that, I have not had any problems with PayPal Credit.

Regards
