I'm trying to add an American Express gift card to my paypal account so I can make a payment on Ebay. This would be the second card I've tried to add. (the first was a visa and it worked) Now it says that it can't add my card even though the Link a Card page says "An easy way to use those Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express prepaid gift cards you’ve collected."
In rare occasions, you may have to register your billing address with the card issuer. Look for a contact website or phone number on the back of your prepaid gift card to complete this registration process.
You may also be unable to add the card or get an error message if your prepaid card was not issued in the U.S. or if you are trying to buy from an international merchant.
