I'm getting error 2002

I'm trying to subscribe to a person on twitch.tv and u have done so for the last 8 months. When I try to subscribe I get this error and tells me to try a different pay method or try again later. It's been Happening for the past week or so.

That's a "limit exceeded" error code which means, the attempted transaction exceeds the withdrawal limit of the account. You will need to contact your bank to change the account limits or use a different payment method.  This is a 'soft' decline of the payment. Soft declines can be retried; they are often the result of a temporary issue and may be successful with a subsequent attempt.  But if subsequent tries are unsuccessful, you will need to use a new payment method and check for issues with your declined payment method.

Why would I have to contact their bank?

Whoops, typo fixed...contact YOUR bank, I mean, to see what the issue is.  Then it again, it could be PayPal's system acting wonky if there is no issue with your payment method.

I have money already on my PayPal account, so does that mean it's on PayPal end? I tried subbing to him for the past cpl weeks every other day and keep getting that error.

Do you have a card linked to your account?  If not, then you won't be able to complete the subscription transaction without linking a card.  You can link a card without using it, as long as you have a PayPal balance, PayPal will draw from balance first.

Actually I was asking about a debit/credit card.  Is one linked to your PayPal account?

Because after some research, there have been reports that Xsolla who processes payment for Twitch.tv will not accept any PayPal balance payment and requires PayPal account to be linked with a debit or credit card in order for any subscriptions or purchases to go through.

So you may want to consider adding a card to your PayPal account and see if payment from your balance goes through.  Be sure though that there isn't already duplicate charges from you attempting payment before.  Sometimes you have to wait a day or two for accounts to update with payment.
