Can anyone help steer me to the way to resolve this problem. I have a woocommerce/wordpress shop which has integrated with paypal brilliantly for 9 months. In mid december orders began being cancelled by woocommerec as unpaid, even though the paypal transaction had been processed correctly. (the allowed payment time is elapsing, even when set above 12 hours) I believe it is a problem with the final 'paid' signal from paypal being blocked somewhere. Then this week I had two orders on the same day, the first of which processed well and the second cancelled as before.
I have checked the IPN history and can see no difference between the transactions (other than one had a payer status of verified, the other unverified)
Woocommerce point towards my hosting provider, My hosting provider says they need more information and I am finding Paypal's technical support very minimalist in their responses. And I am left in the middle with a non functioning shop !
I can think of no change to my website at the time the problem arose other than an automatic update of wordpress itself.
Any clues as to where the solution might lie would be gratefully received

I'm having a similar problem. Were you able to figure this out?
I sell one of a kind items so it's a big problem when the sold items are not automatically listed as "out of stock". When the order is cancelled (even though they actually did pay through paypal) they are left as available and someone else can buy it.
I've double sold several things and I don't like to have to tell customer they can't get what they want (not to mention having to refund their money).

I solved this once, - then it came back intermittantly
The first solution involved making sure the paypal notification returned to the correct folder in woocommerce. set this to http://(website address)/checkout/order-received/
find this in profile/my selling preferences/instant payments notifications (may need to use classic view to find this)
I now have IPN disabled. Have also read that it can be server firewall blocking the return notification
Interested to see how you get on
