I have received a payment, but I do not know the sender and there is no reason that I know of for this payment. Is this a common scam of some kind, or is it possible it was an error on the part of the sender? Should I contact the sender, or just report to PayPal?
Thank you

The same thing has just happened to me a day after my Credit Card details were used to max out my account through PayPal via someone in Italy sending payments from MY credit card to themselves using MY PayPal account it seems. I have written to PayPal and they have been most unhelpful saying that I do not have enough evidence so support my claim of an Unauthorized Claim on my account. Now I have 420 euros sitting in my PayPal account that does not belong to me, and a maxed out credit card because of some **bleep** hacking into my account and using my credit card to pay himself.
