Nordstrom Not Allowing Paypal?

I've used my PayPal account for purchases from Nordstroms online for over a year.  Oddly, I cannot use PayPal when I'm logged into my Nordstroms account (which is RIDICULOUS) but as long as I'm checking out as a guest, it's fine.  Then today for some reason, every time I try to check out, I get a message that says "Sorry, you have been redirected away from checkout with PayPal".  Any thoughts on whether this is a PayPal issue or a Nordstrom's issue?

dept stores have their own brand credit cards,they dont want you to use Paypal.

Good money can be made if you use store credit card and just make minimum payment
