Paypal currency conversion fee?

so i wanted to make a purchase from someone in Australia which came out to be $125 in AUD
the seller said i can still pay through paypal by simply changing the tab from USD to AUD but I've realized that there must be some conversion fee involved

i've read all the conversion fee explanation that they offer and the chart but i'm still very confused. and from all the comments i read online it seems that there are at times hidden fees that you don't realize.

so does anyone have any experience in this or have better understanding than i do? if i was to pay the seller $125 in AUD how much would i really end up paying??

The User Agreeement explains the fees.  Basically the $125 AUD = $130.31 USD plus PayPal's Fixed fee $.31 USD or $130.62

Don't know but I know that the currency conversion is NOT 95 cents with CAD to USD. And that's what they charged me today.

Exchange rate:   1 Canadian Dollar = 0.9570 U.S. Dollars

I believe you would be charged an additional 2.5% currency conversion fee...

$125.00 AUD = $122.41 USD

$122.41 plus $3.06 currency conversion fee = $125.47 USD total charged to you.

The payment receiving fee (3.4% plus 30 cents) would be paid by the seller.
