I recently bought an item for a very high value and once I paid through the invoice I lost all contact with the seller. I've waited 4 days after paying and still no tracking info or response. If the seller did close their account or move the money to a different account, will I get my money back? What will PayPal do to find this person?!?! Please help ASAP!

Clear and 100% scammer.  Please check and read the comments on this link down below, no the link is not a virus.  It is a crime for a seller to not ship an item out once payment has been completed.  I am not sure how to file a claim on eBay or the site you bought the item on.  But look at all the policies regarding your situation.  Especially if you bought something for say a 100 dollars. Give all the information you know about the seller. If the seller has a false address on that account, eBay can track any credit, personal information, or even IP address to see where the seller is using a electronic device. This is all I know about these situations. Hope this helped.

I researched that I could call PayPal and have them contact a collections agency. Indefinitely going to try and do that. What if the buyer.. Scammer* cleared all of his information, how will they find him? I'm willing to do anything to get my money back. So yes, what if he did all that with his information. Will they just trace his IP or can they just see his old information?

Did you try to file a claim with PayPal for item not received?  That should get yor money back.  Let PayPal worry about closed accounts; they should refund you as long as you followed all the rules AND have detials about the product.  Without an invoice with discription and images it may be harder to prove your case.

If that fails, hopefully you paid with a credit card; they should get additional protection.
