Transaction cannot be processed...

I'm trying to pay a seller via his PayPal invoice.

After paying with my connected debit card, I get this message: Transaction cannot be processed because the invoice has been updated, canceled, paid or closed; contact the merchant for more information.

I'm in SMS contact with the merchant, and he assures me that none of the above is true. Nor, would he intentially cause the problem because he would like to get paid, and I need the item by Friday.

Can you provide me a solution to the problem?

@Videotero

Why don't you ask him for his email address and pay direct using the send money > goods option??

Make sure you put all the info regarding the description of the item you are expecting to receive that was on the invoice onto it before you send the payment.
