What will a charge be for Germany-UK Paypal payment (personal gift)?

Hi all,

I have a German friend who wishes to transfer, via Paypal, €1250 to my English Paypal account.

His account is linked to a German bank account, whereas mine to a UK account.

Do you know a) what the charges would be and b) whether I could ensure that I pay the charges, and not him?
