When will my payment come through?

I sold an item to someone just through paypal, and before i sent it i got the pay request email that says the money will be sent after ebay confirms the delivery. the problem is we didnt use ebay i just sold it to him. he said the money will come when ups confirms the delivery, and it has been confirmed but i still havnt gotten the money. whats happening?

Does it show as pending in your paypal account balance?

 A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal and often ask you to send the item as a gift to a relative somewhere often Nigeria.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

They also threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Hmmm, in that case you can't recall the package.  What did you sell?  Electronics?

You got scammed.  See if you can recall the package from UPS.

Sounds like a scam.  When someone sends payment, the amount and transaction details will appear in your PayPal account.  If you are a new seller, PayPal will mark the money as Pending in your account for the 21 day hold BUT, you have to make sure the money is received in your PayPal account first before you ship!!!! A real buyer won't tell when and how the payment will be received.  They'll just pay and figure you take care the rest.  They don't send you a request email saying the eBay or PayPal will send money when shipping is confirmed and try to tell you what will happen.  If there is a hold, let PayPal tell you in your account.
