ACH return fee

So when I bought something with PayPal and went through my bank account, there wasn't enough funds, ( only a couple dollars short) and I was hit with a 20 dollar ACH return fee so I thought it was just because insufficient funds and they'd just charge my PayPal account with the money and I'd just pay the balance with my debit. That's not the case, they decided to try and charge my bank account several more times for the funds and now I'm a couple hundred dollars in debt plus the account is frozen. I have no clue what to do, please help.

Ouch, thats a lot.

Normally they only do it once then go to your back up funding source.

Doubt they will refund those costs but you can query why they keep on charging it.

Also approach your bank as they should refund some of those fees for you..........even as a goodwill gesture.

When you authorise paypal to use your bank account as a funding source and don't have enough funds they will try again a few days later, normally if that does not work they will try your back up funding source.

Is there anything I can do to repeal the return fees? It's about 200$ worth of fees that they did when they kept charging the account. When they've normally just charged the PayPal balance.
