What domain is the email address with? Is it an @yourdomain type of account? If so you could just create an email account that matches the bad email, and then add that email to your PayPal account, which would make the funds drop in there.

Same thing if the email is an @gmail or other similar type of service. See if you can add an alias to your current account or even create a new account on that service that matches the bad email (assuming it's not already taken) and then add that to your PayPal account.

So basically, if possible, create a new account that matches the email address you accidentally used, and then add that account to your PayPal account. This will cause the funds to show up for you.

Not sure I know what you want me to do, it’s supposed to end in aol.com and I inadvertly put aol.om so don’t know if I can use it as another email?

If the email address doesn't exist then the payment should fail and return to the buyer after about 30 days.

If there is such as domain, then you could request a new email address from that domain.

If another PayPal account actually has that email address then that's where the money would.

Suggest you do some investigation about the validity of the error address.

If I cancelled the sale would the money be returned to the buyer?

I'm not familiar with how eBay works for cancelling a sale. You might have to refund from PayPal, but that wouldn't work since you don't have the funds.

Does the transaction even show up on your PayPal activity list?

No it doesn’t, just in ebay as “pending”

Never was resolved though PP, eBay figured it out - I cancelled the transaction and “lost” money was returned to buyer
