Hello Paypal Community,
See title above. This happened a couple weeks ago. I did forward the emails to Ebay and Paypal and craigslist -- the late model car was posted at a low price on craigslist; then I was told the sale would go through Ebay-I received an authentic looking email with Ruben Murillo as "ebay receiving agent in Virginia". I didn't send anything but I'm worried because I got a mysterious phone call and audio and video skype file from a social profile email address starting with 19:f5064ea8937a491c9e......... etc. @ thread.skype. It showed I ordered Apple news or music service for around $108. I clicked "cancel" but can no longer find attachment or image... and am worried someone's trying to order things in my name, cell phone number, or email addresses.
An online search with the really long number in the email address came up with "finding Steam users," which I've never heard of. Are there any other steps to take or to id's to track down? They used a legitimate landline number in Seattle. Found similar email addresses in scam lookouts: instead of irmadavis04 @ gmail.com, it was irmadavis07 with similar sales tactics.
