Recently I sold tickets to a Bruno Mars concert in Orlando. The tickets were purchased through StubHub online ticket site. The buyer purchased the tickets through Vivid Seats which is another site for purchasing and selling tickets. The sale price for 2 tickets were $450 each totalling $900. I received payment of $810 through PayPal. I was emailed the tickets by StubHub. My instructions were to upload the PDF copy of the tickets to Vivid Seats so they can transfer the tickets to the buyer. I am able to show that the upload to Vivid was successful.
After the concert date I was contacted by PayPal stating that the buyer was not able to enter the concert stating that tickets were not valid. Paypal reimbursed the buyer and debited my PayPal account. I don't understand why I am being charged back with the $810 when I did what I was instructed to do. I also don't know what the original buyer did with the tickets that I uploaded to Vivid. The transaction went through PayPals resoluton center and it was originally ruled in my favor because Vivid did not provide what they were asked to by the time requested. At this point everything was fine. After several weeks, I was contacted b PayPal stating that I was being debited $810 as they ruled n favor of Vivid. Its like they were given 2 chances. After they debited me, I contacted PayPals resolution department and was agaiin credited back during the investigatiion. After several more weeks I was debited again, stating that the FINAL resolution was to charge me. My account now sits at -$854. I since researched and found out that PayPal has seller protection to protect the sellers. When I brought this up I was told that because the tickets were electronically sold I was not elligible for sellers protecton. I feel that I was treated liike a criminal and not refunded. I am wondering if PayPal can be sued as I feel I was treated unfairly.
