I am a home improvement contractor. my merchant service pos system was retired.  i received deposit through PayPal here. BIG MISTAKE cannot withdraw job deposits. now have big problems. i need to start immediately BUT!!!! 30DAY HOLD RESERVE customer service cant help soooAny suggestions look before you leap comes to mind because im f@#%ed right now.

Can you contact customer services and ask them to return the money back to the person that sent it and then ask them to pay you another way?

If you are new/infrequent  to accepting Paypal payments for goods and services,there will be a hold on the payment until goods or services are delivered.

You can call Paypal and refuse the payment,and ask your customer to use a different method.

There is Paypal Here which is  a card reader you can attach to your phone,but you need to be approved.

Oh and note, sales made using PayPal Here are not eligible for seller protection!  User agreement very interesting.

How did you actually accept the payment?  Did you enter it as a sale and swipe a credit card?

I don't have holds on PayPal Here credit card payments.

@OP client sent him payment via Paypal,or is your question directed at @ Sharpie.

so what is so interesting with the Paypal here agreement,how is the seller not protected?

It must be a large sum to warrant 30 days hold!

the sum was under $4000 , all received by paypal , cleared through american wxpress, paypal speaks about card company but only paypal has hold, not american express
