I've seen this question before, but no answer. Can I schedule a future payment, and/or a recurring future payment via PayPal personal (pay friend/family)?
Seems like this would be a great feature to include, huh?

No you can't.

Paypal should figure it out. It’s a legitimate request for an app that sends and receives money. Watch the communities PP. see what your customers want and don’t make us work for it.

Except this is NOT paypal customer services, it is a ''community forum''.
So to suggest something to paypal you have TO EMAIL THEM OR PHONE THEM.

IF paypal is interested in what users think and surely monitors these communities, they’d know what features are in demand.

No, not at the moment. Send your self a email reminder or a calendar one on your smartphone. Cool idea though. Been asked about before.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

So I just googled this myself, as a customer asked if they could pay for something in 4 instalments.
I created the invoice as normal, then I changed the invoice date to 29th January 2018. Then clicked 'save and schedule'.
I then used the same invoice and changed the date for a further 4 dates in the furture. The invoices have now been scheduled to send to the customer on those particular dates. VOILA

Yes but for friends and family, I don't want to use invoices because then it'll take a big fee.

Don't use friends / family if you are buying or selling, its not only against paypal rules and can get your paypal account banned BUT you may also lose any seller or buyer protection you may have had.
