Can I send money to my girlfriend who lives in Argentina from the US?

I've never done this before and was just wondering if I could get some clarification on how this process works. I live in the United States and my girlfriend lives in Argentina. If I send her $20 USD with the option "Send to a Paypal Balance" will her Paypal Balance be $20 USD and will she be able to transfer that to her bank account if it's not in ARS (Argentine Peso)?

Paypal says ARS isn't supported but I don't understand what that means for her if I send her USD to her Paypal account. Thanks in advance for any help.

your girlfriend has to state in her paypal account that she accepts US currency payment and want to keep them as US $.

So what happens when she wants to transfer her Paypal balance that is in $USD into her bank account? Will it convert it to Argentine Pesos even though when I initially sent the money, I couldn't send it converted into Argentine Pesos because Paypal said it wasn't supported?

yes,Paypal will convert it to pesos,there is a fee for doing so,like 3% in USA.

or she can do it herself in her account.
