My PayPal status is Basic and shows I can receive money. I use PayPal with my freelance work. Freelance websites, like Upwork, and other websites have regularly sent money to my PayPal account and I was able to access the money via my PayPal Business Debit card. There has never been any problems.
However, when my sister sent me money through FaceBook Messenger, PayPal quickly notified me that I received money, showed it as pending, then said I needed to verify my PayPal account in order to accept the money. Does anyone know why? Why can my freelance clients send me money with no problem, but my sister can't? My sister doesn't have a PayPal account and her FB Messenger is linked to her BofA debit card. She can send money to her children with no problem, except me. =(
