Credit card line item

My credit card statement has several line items in the transactions which identify PAYPAL. Each line has the word PAYPAL, then an asterisk followed by a string of characters, then PayPal's phone number, the state abbreviation and the the amount. These are online purchases. Sometimes by the end of the following month (which could be 50 days later) I cannot recall the merchant or the item. To help in monthly accounting, how can I identify these transactions, items or merchants? Of course, they do not appear in the PayPal activity summary since they are credit card purchases. Thanks.

If you don't print paper receipts for your online credit card purchases and you don't mainting computer accounting records, then you'll just need to rely on your memory.

You could dispute the charge with your credit card bank if you think it was fraudulent.
