Im a seller on ebay onr guy bought .cell phones off me 12 samsungs, item not recieved claim after i shipped it they signed for the package, then he filed a return case and returned an empty box, he filed for his money back and I had to refund him since I have no choice to accept returns" he changed story to empty box but item recived and ebay closed the case after a week of investigation, ebay saw what the buyer was doing he had false usa adress and lived in Honduras and told me It Is my responsibiltity to get it to his door step. He ends up filing a charge back through credit card now I'm down over 1000 dollars cuz he kept my phones and got his money back. And I lost the case with paypal and no longer saying "seller protection" it says I'm not covered by seller protection but case still pending why is that ? And why am i being held responsible for this ? This makes no sense I wasn't the one to accept or run his card and I dont have the right to refuse service to buyers I get a defect for that if I were to cancel his order also my case has been pending for almost 2 months now any one have experience with losing money to charge back ? And if I will lose my m money also? I like paypal but I'f this is the case I'm looking for alternatives, I already set an appointment with my bank hopefully they have a similar service so I can go straight through them as my all he bankers at my branch know me and my family on a first name basis. They will stick by my side incase if I ever have this happen

Too much story.  What is the dispute?

What is the status of the dispute?

So you phone PayPal support and file an appeal.

You can't appeal a charge back ! That's why the seller didnt file a proper dispute

Generally with a credit card chargeback the buyer would not return items as the credit card bank would not be able to verify the return.

With a credit card chargeback you would also have a $20 chargeback fee.

Then you rely on seller protection.

Make sure you complied with all aspects including the "OK to ship" on the transaction.

Comments based on the early part of your store before you edited out the early concerns.

Based on the early part of your story, I saw indications of a problem where the order should not be shipped.

First, phones are EXTREMELY high risk.

Sending all as one sale puts all your risk in one package.

You had to rearrange some shipping to accommodate the buyer as the deal was too good to be true for you to pass up.

Then you didn't think to photograph the contents and you didn't take the time to weigh the package.

It looks like you didn't research the buyer's physical address sufficiently.

Why didn't you qualify for seller protection?
