Default Payment Method

Hi,

1) I have two cards registered and for an uber payment it took the last card I added. How do you get uber to use a specific card?

The only option that exists is for you to select which card you want to "pay in shops".

2) I used to have my bank account registered and whenever I paid online it would always default to my bank account on not my Amex card (I would then to change it at payment time) despite the Amex card being selected to "pay in shops". I have now deleted my bank account details to resolve this problem. Why did this happen?

It seems to default to the last payment method added to the account!

Regards

Peter

I think if you look into your profile ,you can speciy your preferred method of payment and set it to paypal fund, bank or credit card.

as to why Uber does what it does, you have to ask Uber, there is no way to block a vendor .

If you go to Settings you are in your Account which is the profile. There is nothing there. Click on Payments and you have the following

Choose how you prefer to pay in shops. (this is set to Amex)

Choose a funding source at checkout. (this is ticked)

There is nothing other than the above that determines which card is used.

It is nothing to do with Uber, the Paypal account is lined to Uber,  why did it choose the Mastercard and not Amex to pay for the Uber journey? How do you specify this in advance?

Why when my bank account was registered with Paypal paying for something online it would always default to paying with the bank account and not Amex? So I always had to change this at payment time to Amex.

It seems to default to the last payment method entered.
