I tried to send money but forgot the default was a bank account I closed years ago. I cancelled the transaction a minute later. Should I contact customer service?

no,if it is cancelled a minute later,is the status cancelled?
if it said completed, that means Paypal bank will or have already sent your request into ACH,and since the banka ccount is closed,it would bounce.

It says cancelled - money sent, the recipient says they received an echeck in their account. They asked me about it. 😞

e check takes 3-5 days to clear,if your recipient received it sooner, then it is not an echeck.
do you haev your credit card linked to your Paypal account
it could be Paypal is advancing you the money without knowing your account is closed,it will soon find out,it could either charge your credit card,or claw back the payment, and /or slap you with a fee

She says "bank payment" arrived to her. I removed the account as a "bank" and not a card when I cancelled the payment. This is such a tangle. I guess I'll call customer service. I resent the payment to the person with a current account and explained the issue.
