Hi, I have an Airbnb Account connected to my personal paypal and it works excellent.
Now I am working on a WEBSITE to be able to get people booking my accommodations without airbnb and I would like to be able to get paid with credit cards, SAME AS WHEN USING EBAY, but not really with Ebay.
How can I do that?
I dont want to convert to a business account.
Thanks
paula

Hi @kernowlass no, we only rent the house when we are gone during the summer.
The house is in Indonesia so everything because a bit trickier.
We only want to give potential clients the option of paying with credit card not only with Paypal.
Is that possible?
Cheers

Paypal has more than just Paypal account now,go to Paypal and see which one is suitable for you.
if you want to accept credit card direct ,you would need a merchant account, may be Paypal has such offer
?
The conventional way of setting up a merchant account is expensive.
You can ask for wiretransfer and western union or money gram, there is no chargeback.

You should be able to accept credit card funded paypal payments with a personal account.
You only need a business account if you are a registered business.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

If she keeps using her personal account for business and accepting credit card payment is a piece of evidence she is running a business,Paypal will ask her to upgrade to a business account.

Not now, paypal personal / premier accounts are fine, you only need to open a business account if you are a registered business.

In your website preferences located in seller preferences, make sure you have PayPal account optional setting turned on. Then you can make payment buttons for your site: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/get-started.
You don't have to convert your personal acct, you could just open a separate business account if you expect to do a lot of transactions. If you are only casually renting your space out, here and there, could still use personal account.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
