How to change date of birth?

I used the support center and sent a message wondering if there could be any way to change my date of birth's year. Its only the year, it is off by one year and I need to change it so I can verify my identity, but I got no reply in almost a week.

So I need recommendations on what to do now. 

Is there a way to change the DoB myself?

or do I need to wait until they reply? (I don't have much time because I need to verify my identity before my account gets limited)

or send a new message to them?

You only have one birth date.  You can't change the year you were  born. 

Why didn't you use the correct date for PayPal?

This was years ago, maybe I mistyped, I don't remember, but I think it must have been that because it's a 1 year error.

I have this problem too. I phoned Customer Support but it is only an automated payment system with no option for speaking to a live support tech.

Look, does anyone *know* how to change the date of birth given to PayPal for identification purposes? I originally gave a bogus date because it was only between me and PayPal, and I didn't see any reason to give up personal info. Now years later, it seems PayPal is comparing it to info from some authoritative source, like my bank. So I need to get on the same page by giving my real DOB. But "How?"

You can't change your date of birth; that is a past event.

You addeed fake information to set up your PayPal account.  How do you think PayPal can identify your when you have a false account?

If there is any chance it will have to be by phone call.

I opened an account yesterday but the issue was that the correct date of birth were not getting entered or was recognized as an error.
