I am renting a condo for a family vacation in mid-January and they requested that I pay via paypal for the deposit. It's $90, and the remaining balance is to be paid on arrival. If for any crazy reason we find out this was a scam, will paypal protect me? I was reading the protection policy, and it says that Real estate, including residential property is excluded from protection. Just want to confirm either way before I take the risk. It's a great price, and I'm a little afraid that it's too good to be true...

real estate is buying and selling real properties, not rental.
The risk is with the landlord,he has no way of proving he has delivered the goods with online viewable tracking from a commercial carrier.
